I had the pleasure of working with Alexander at inSales, and he's one of those engineers who make a team noticeably better just by being on it.

Alexander owned some of the most user-facing and demanding parts of our platform. For years he was the driving force behind our visual storefront editor — a large, complex application where merchants build their online stores. He redesigned major parts of it, brought it to mobile, and kept improving it in hundreds of small ways that users actually feel: smoother interactions, sensible edge-case handling, polished details that most developers would consider "good enough" long before he does.

What impressed me most was the infographic editor he built essentially from scratch: a full canvas-based graphic editor with artboards, shapes, text styling, templates, and undo/redo history, powered by an editor core he developed himself. It became the tool merchants use to design product images right inside the admin panel — the kind of component companies usually buy rather than build. He kept evolving it feature by feature, and later also embedded it into the storefront editor, replacing the legacy image editing solution there as well.

He also delivered complete product features end to end. Our abandoned carts functionality — with multi-channel customer messaging, communication history, and analytics — was largely his work, from UI down to the details of how requests are cancelled and states stay in sync. And when I was leading the migration of our admin panel to Vue 3, Alexander was the person I could rely on to hunt down and fix subtle regressions in the most complicated parts of the codebase.

On the human side, Alexander is a genuinely pleasant colleague: open to feedback, thorough in code reviews, and someone who cares about the craft without any ego attached. He communicates clearly, takes ownership without being asked, and raises the quality bar for everyone around him.

Any team would be lucky to have him, and I'd happily work with him again.
